See the result of the previous contest here CONTEST #35
The prize this week is a credit of $350 to spend on our site. The format for this contest is similar to the popular English football pools. The rules are simple: for each of the games being played this weekend, decide which team will win, or whether a particular game will end in a draw. For example, the first game listed is Blackburn at home to Arsenal. If you think that Blackburn will win, you would select the Home team; if you think Arsenal will win, you would select the Away team; and if you think the game will end in a draw, select Draw.
Points will be awarded by us as follows -- one point for a correct home win, two points for a correct away win, and three points for a correct draw (no points awarded for an incorrect selection, and if a game is postponed later than Monday for some reason it counts as an incorrect selection for everyone). The entrant who accumulates the most points for the contest will win the prize. In the event that more than one entrant ties for most points, there will not be a winner, we will award a consolation credit of $75 to each tied player and will add $100 to the next contest.
The name, the city of residence and the photograph of the winner will be published on this page (we will need a picture if you win). The credit cannot be transferred, it must be used within 30 days of winning, and it has no cash value. No purchase is required to enter. The idea is to have some fun, so enjoy the contest and the games.
Please note that we email an entry confirmation showing your picks; if you subscribe to services such as Yahoo or Hotmail and use that email address, you may or may not receive this confirmation. Free email services are inundated with spam, and the filters they use throw out much legitimate mail with the bad.
